Martin Franklin Hirsch, age 83, of Morganton, GA passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at his home. Mr. Hirsch was born February 9, 1938, in Kansas City, MO. Martin was employed by the Georgia Center of Disease Control as the director of procurement. He was the founder of the May Trip, he loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially loved being with his family, kids and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Christine Hirsch, sons James (Debbie) Hirsch and Martin (Candace) Hirsch, step-sons and daughter-in-laws, Ken and Meredith Bridger and Kerry and Lori Bridger. His grandchildren, Katie (Andy) Morrison, Caroline (Josh) Watson, Ford Hirsch, Hannah Hirsch, Emma (Andy) Morzek, Jonah Bridger, Ethan Bridger, Owen Bridger, and William Bridger. Mr. Hirsch's great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Morrison, Kinsey Morrison, Kolten Morrison, Abby Watson, Allee Kate Watson, Collins Watson, and Sawyer Watson, nieces Leslye (Julies) Felicia, and great-nieces, Kanin Felicia and Kate Felicia, and sister Karen Faulk.
Funeral services: Monday, December 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Monday, December 27, 2021, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
