Mr. Michael Shawn Christian McCoy, age 36 of Murphy, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Mr. McCoy was born Friday, October 16, 1970 in Polk Co., TN to Lloyd McCoy and the late Renda McKay McCoy. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: father, Lloyd McCoy of Murphy, NC, sister & brother-in-law, Kelly and Mitchell Phillips of Murphy, NC, sister & her fiance, Joy Coker and Ricky Bailey of Murphy, NC, brother & sister-in-law, William and Melanie McCoy of Murphy, NC, nieces and nephews, Kendra, Jake and Rose Phillips, Lacey and Cody Coker, Jason McCoy, and Frankie Ludwig, Darren, Justin and Jeremy Swayney.
Memorial services will be held Monday, June 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Phillips officiating.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy, North Carolina is in charge of arrangements.
