Barbara Foster

Barbara "Montine" Foster, 75, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at her home in Morganton, Georgia. Barbara was born August 9, 1948, in Frelona, GA to David and Christine Culpepper.

Barbara was preceded in death by father, David Culpepper; mother, Christine Culpepper; and brother, Garry Culpepper.

She is survived by her husband, Aaron Duane Foster; daughter, Christie (Troy) Foster Pruett of Marietta Georgia; son, Eric Foster of Raleigh, North Carolina; sister, grandchildren, Trenton Pruett, Austin Pruett, Webb Foster, and Catherine Foster; great-grandson, Turner Pruett.Shirley Vaughn of Hampton Georgia; and brother, Reverend Rocky (Diana) Culpepper of Ocala Florida.

Montine grew up in Lagrange Georgia. She and Duane moved to the North Georgia mountains of Morganton upon her retirement fourteen years ago from Johns Creek, Georgia. She was a dedicated military wife of 57 years and devoted mother to her children who loved her family deeply. She and Duane enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. She had a very successful career as a civil servant and was recognized for her outstanding abilities many times. Montine was of the baptist faith, a believer in Jesus Christ, and warrior in her fight against cancer.
