Nancy Harper

Nancy Bell Harper, 89, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at her home in Hiawassee, GA. Nancy was born October 14, 1932, in Evanston, IL to the late William and late Myrtle Bell.

She is survived by her spouse of sixty-nine years Harold Harper; daughters Judy Brotherton and Debra Harper; and son William (Kathy) Harper. She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven greatgreat-grandchildren.  She was a registered nurse serving as the Health Services nurse at Palm Beach Atlantic College for many years. She enjoyed working with and getting to know the students and staff. 

She was a member of McConnell Baptist Church and had been a charter member of First Baptist Church of Lake Park, Florida where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Nancy loved family tremendously. She adored animals and owned many cats and dogs during her life. Her favorite pastime included loving and caring for her dog Princess.

The family thanks the staff of Regency Hospice for their kindness, concern, and exceptional care during her final weeks. A memorial service celebrating Nancy’s life will be held at McConnell Church on November 5 at 2:00 PM. Visitation with family will be at 1:00 PM.
