Nell Colwell, age 89 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Union General Hospital.
Nell was born Friday, May 11, 1917 in Union County, Georgia to the late Edgar Lee Colwell and Georgia Bryant Colwell. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was preceded in death by brothers, Neal, Grady, Hugh, Abner, Paul and Claude Colwell, sister, Edith Colwell and granddaughter, Robin Armburst.
Survivors include: daughter, Mildred Myers of Monticello, GA, granddaughter, Debra Humphrey of Monticello, GA, grandson, Stanley Guard of Covington, GA, granddaughter, Sandra Patton of Mansfield, GA, great-grandson, Chuck Armburst of Decatur, GA, great-granddaughter, Heather Dudley of Macon, GA, great-granddaughter, Victoria Chandler of Covington, GA, great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Dudley of Macon, GA, special care giver, Paula Johnson, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. B. A. Buchanan officiating. Music will be provided by Martha Cone. Interment will follow in Queen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8, Friday, January 19.
