Niles Raleigh Dover

Mr. Niles Raleigh Dover, age 74, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, May 26th, 2023 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.

Mr. Dover was born in Blairsville, Georgia, a son of the late William Daniel "Dan" Dover and the late Leola Pierce Dover.  He was a member of Old Liberty Baptist Church. Mr. Dover liked everybody and was a friend to everybody.  

Surviving family members include his beloved sister, Nedra Dover Cheeks; niece and her husband, Betty and Gary Rogers; and niece, Sandra Watson; several cousins also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, with Rev. Harold Underwood officiating.  Special music will be presented by Robert Duckworth. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 3 pm on Tuesday.  The following gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers: Brian Mashburn, Brent England, Shawn Mashburn, Troy Collins, and Wesley Garrett.  Burial will be in Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, where his body will be laid to rest beside his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions be made to Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1008 Town Creek School Road, Blairsville, GA 30512.
