Nola Belle Woody

Nola Belle Butts Woody, age 101 of Morganton, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Union General Hospital. Mrs. Woody was born June 15, 1915 in Dial, GA to the late Allen Butts and the late Polly Brawley Butts. She was a member of Salem Number 1 Baptist Church and worked at Levi Strauss in Blue Ridge for a number of years. She enjoyed gardens, sewing, reading, listening to music and her cats. She was preceded in death by husband, Evan John Woody, son, Wade Allen Woody and grandson, Travis Woody.

Survivors include daughter, Carolyn (James) Brown, granddaughter, Lisa Brown (Bruce) Tucker, daughter in law, Laura Howk.

Funeral services: Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Garrett officiating. Music was by Ed Vest, Larry Nichols and Ralph Grice. Interment followed in Brawley Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Tuesday, December 6, 2016, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
