Norene Edwards Cimino

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norene Edwards Cimino, who left us on April 10, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on March 4, 1944, in Hiawassee, Georgia, Norene was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Norene was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Bonnie Edwards, and her beloved husband, Edward Justen Cimino, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage of nearly 50 years, celebrated on May 8, 1976, in Atlanta, GA. She was also preceded by her sisters, Sue Dills and Glenda Stephens.

Norene is survived by her loving son, Justen Cimino (Kristi), and her devoted daughter, Missy Mize. She was a proud grandmother to Kristen Browning (Christian), Madisen Neeley (Jonathan), Lela Grace Mize, Charlee Mize, and Madden Cimino. Norene also cherished her great-grandchildren, Charlotte Browning, Natalie Neeley, and Ella Neeley, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

The family invites friends and loved ones to gather in honor of Norene's life. A funeral service will take place at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home and Crematory Hiawassee Chapel on April 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM.

A public viewing will occur earlier that same day at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home & Crematory Hiawassee Chapel, starting at 10:30 AM.

Internment will follow the service at Burch Cemetery in Hiawassee, Georgia.
