Norman Hughes

Norman Vander Hughes, age 82 of Copperhill, TN, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 at Copper Basin Medical Center. Hughes was born Thursday, August 20, 1925 in Polk Co., FL to the late William Hughes and the late Rosie Mae Hughes . A member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church, loved sports and reading the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Survivors include: wife, Sibuel Hughes of Grassy Creek, daughter, Claire Jones, FL, daughter, Joyce Hughes, FL, daughter, Adrey Judy, FL, step-son, Martin Lane of Ducktown, TN, step-son, William Lane, FL, sister & brother-in-law, Dot &Joe Brenner, FL, 1 granddaughter, six step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Grassy Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Carry Plemmons officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from after 6 Wednesday, August 22.
