Orville Phillip Riley Jr., born on August 16, 1947, in Oregon City, Oregon, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026. A devoted family man and a person of deep passion, understanding, and determination, Orville leaves behind a legacy cherished by all who had the honor to know him.
Orville was a proud graduate of Fremont High School, an achievement that served as the foundation for a successful career that earned him respect and left a lasting impression on those around him. His dedication extended beyond his professional life; he served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971 as a member of the Sac Elite Guard, exemplifying his commitment and discipline early on.
A man who truly treasured time with his family, Orville's fondest memories were those filled with joyful family get-togethers, hunting and fishing excursions, road trips, and holidays spent in the warmth of dinners around the table. His love for life also expressed itself in hobbies such as watching and playing golf, hunting and fishing, and the meticulous care he devoted to his lawn.
Orville’s proudest accomplishment was, without a doubt, the love he had for his family. He is survived by his beloved daughter Tina Riley, son Russell Riley and daughter Jennifer Riley, and his cherished grandchildren Crystal Doyle, Cody Haugen, Christian Haugen, Curtis Riley, Jacob Riley, and Hannah Riley. His loving spirit continues in his great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Brody, Madelyn, Aiden, Owen, Colton, Waylon, and Brooks. The family also solemnly remembers those who have gone before: Joni Riley, Orville Phillip Riley Sr., Arietta Riley, and Shirley Reker.
Orville Phillip Riley Jr. will be remembered as a man who blended unwavering determination with kindness and profound passion. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, as well as in the many moments of joy and togetherness he so treasured.
