Patricia Gillespie

Patricia Wallin Gillespie, 76, of Blue Ridge, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022, in Acworth, GA. Patricia was born March 21, 1946, in Kingsport, TN to Harold Wallin and Martha McCurry Wallin.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Wallin; mother, Martha Wallin; husband of 51 years, Ron Gillespie; and sister, Carolyn Wallin. She is survived by her daughter, Leighanne (Chris) Lusk, of Acworth, and her son, Todd Gillespie, of Blue Ridge. Patricia is also survived by her grandchildren Emma Gillespie, Megan Gillespie, Merideth Lusk, and Isabelle Lusk.

Patricia was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed making Jewelry, crafts and enjoyed spending time with her family. She graduated from the University of Georgia and was well known as an Elementary School teacher.

The family will receive friends for a Remembrance Gathering on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Henry Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge.

A private interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
