Patricia Thornton Middleton

Mrs. Patricia Thornton Middleton, age 70, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007 at Union General Hospital in Blairsville. Mrs. Middleton was born Thursday, January 7, 1937 in Jefferson County, Texas, to the late Fred Thornton and the late Dorothy Rose Simmons Thornton. She had lived in Blairsville since 1993, when she and her husband moved from Atlanta. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, George Middleton, of Blairsville; daughter, Valerie Lynn Adams, of Memphis, Tennessee; daughter, Vannessa Lane Watts of Hanceville, Alabama; son, James A. Middleton of Ellijay, Georgia; daughter, Vickie Lea McManus of McDonough, Georgia; brother, Arthur W. Thornton of LaFollette, Tennessee; sister, Suzanne Lane of El Campo, Texas; grandchildren: Ashley Adams, Daniel Adams, Aaron Adams, Phillip Adams, Adrian Adams, Joshua Adams, Avery Watts, Ryan McManus, Sean McManus, and Shelby McManus. Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Lane officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the services, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday.
