Paul William Stepp

Paul William Stepp, passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on January 26, 1949, in Epworth, Georgia, to Lloyd and Nellie Foster Stepp. Paul was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Paul served his community with pride for many years as a lineman for Tristate EMC. Paul exemplified hard work and commitment in all aspects of his life.

He is survived by his cherished wife, Lorie "Penny" Davenport Stepp; his son Shane (Cheryl) Stepp; his daughter Tiffany (Dewayne) O'Neal; and a host of grandchildren, including Shane Stepp Jr., Cassie (Stephen) Stacy, Abigail (Matt) Cox, Will O'Neal, Olivia O'Neal, and Daniel (Karen) Lange. Paul also took great joy in the presence of his great-grandchildren, Sterlin Lange, Judson Stacy, Sutton Lange, Archer Paul Stacy, and Charleigh Stacy. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Sandy(Jeff) Stepp Johnstone; sister-in-law, Carolyn Stepp; and several nieces and nephews, including Gina Austin, Karen Stepp, Clark Stepp, Lauren (Jonathan) Jordan, and Cody Ramsey.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Stepp. His warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

A man of many passions, Paul found joy in golfing and was an avid football fan, particularly devoted to the Georgia Bulldogs. However, the most profound love in his life was for his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

The family will hold a private family service.
