Pearl Ann Hyde

Oct 13, 1945 — Oct 8, 2026

Pearl Ann Hyde, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2026, at her home in Copperhill, Tennessee. Born on October 13, 1945, in Copperhill, Pearl lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to family, and filled with a love that will continue to live on for generations. She was a true Southern woman, strong willed, tenderhearted, and full of the kind of goodness that made people feel at home in her presence. Her faith in God was planted so firmly that the very earth would have to shake beneath her feet to move it. Through life’s joys and sorrows, she held tightly to the Lord, trusting in His promises and finding strength in His grace.

To Pearl, family was everything. She poured her heart into caring for those she loved, always finding ways to make sure her family had what they needed. Some of her sweetest moments were those spent playing with her great grandchildren. Their laughter, company, and the simple joy of being together were treasures she held close to her heart. Pearl understood that a beautiful life was not measured by wealth or recognition, but by the people we love, the kindness we give, and the faith we carry. She leaves behind a legacy far greater than words can express: a family shaped by her love and a lifetime of memories that will never fade.
Above all, Pearl loved the Lord. Her faith was the foundation of her life, steady through every storm and unshaken by the trials this world could bring. Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Pearl lived with that kind of faith, trusting in God’s promises even when the road was difficult. Her love for the Lord was more than something she spoke about. It was something she carried in her heart and demonstrated through the way she lived.

Her home in Grassy Creek was a place dear to her heart, filled with familiar comforts and memories, along with her greatest joys in life. She enjoyed sitting in her living room, watching the birds flutter, deer wander, and taking in the beauty of God’s creations outside her window. She enjoyed reading her magazines, doing crossword puzzles, word searches, and keeping herself occupied with little hobbies that made her happy.

She leaves behind her cherished children and their partners; Kathleen Hyde, Laura and Jerry Gilliam, Amanda and Thomas Jr. Eads, and Alison Hyde And Chris Collis. Her grandchildren and their partners; Joshua and Anita Allen, Tommy and Kristen Gregory, Emily and David Anderson, Autumn and Colton Sundmark, Wyatt Welch, Mikayla and Skylar Kinman, and Martha Hyde.

She also leaves behind many beloved great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, each carrying a piece of her love and legacy. Pearl was a safe place, a familiar face, a loving heart, and a piece of home that can never be replaced.
Pearl was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Windom Hyde; her parents, Hayden Payne and Martha Waters Rymer; and her siblings, Beautel Allen, Fraddy Payne, Jo Richards, and Ed Payne. And survived by her beloved sister, Dean Ratcliffe.

There will be no service held for Pearl Hyde. Her wish is to be laid to rest next to her husband, Windom Hyde, at "The Big Rock" located at their home.

Pearl Ann Hyde will be dearly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
