Ralph Elwyn Pittman, 93 years old of Epworth, GA, passed away, Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Coperbasin Medical Center.
He was born in Fannin County on August 13, 1916, son of Joah Elwyn Pittman and May Belle Pittman.
He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He worked as a Forest Patrolman for the Georgia Foresty for many years.
Surviving are: son, Elwyn Hugh Pittman, daughter, Jo Ann Grey, daughter, Rita Long,daughter, Jenny Ballew, son, Gary Pittman, daughter, Sandra Pittman, daughter, Susan Henson, son, Scott Graves, sister, Ruth Jones, sister, Ruby Daves, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, neices and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Joah Elwyn Pittman, mother, May Belle Pittman, wife, Hazel Mary Pittman.
Friends will be received Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 2:00pm from the Henry Cochran Chapel with Rev. Roy Clore, Rev. Randy Hooper, Rev. Bill Johnston, Rev. Bill Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Fannin County.
