Mr. Randall Denton, Sr., age 89 of Murphy, NC, passed away Monday, May 7, 2007 at Murphy Medical Center. Mr. Denton, Sr. was born Wednesday, November 14, 1917 in Polk Co., TN to the late Lee Denton and the late Carrie Bell Denton. A member emeritus of Mineral Bluff Masonic Lodge # 483 F& Am .
Survivors include: wife, Ada Lee Denton of Murphy, son & daughter-in-law, Randy & Joan Denton of Blue Ridge, sister, Hassie Dillard of Murphy, sister, Hansel Johnson of Lexington, NC, grandson, Caleb Denton of San Antonio, TX, several step grandchildren, step-daughter, Sue Mason, step-son, Ray McHan, step-son, Charles McHan, step-son, Lynn McHan.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Reverend Ernest German officiating. Music will be provided by Valerie Tayor. Interment will follow in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Sam McHan, Jason McHan, Charles McHan Jr, Rob Dillard, Jerry Dillard, Gary Dillard. Honorary pallbearers include: Robert Sam Dillard, Lynn McHan.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Wednesday, May 9.
