Robert L. Blackburn, age 79 of Blue Ridge,GA passed away March 23, 2012 at Fannin Regional Hospital . Mr. Blackburn was born February 14, 1933 in Conehatta, MS to the late A.L. Blackburn and the late Mrs. Bufkin Blackburn . He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Epworth, GA . He was preceded in death by son Robert J. Blackburn.
Survivors include: spouse, Vertie Blackburn, of Blue Ridge, GA daughter, Susan Walker, of Woodstock, GA and four grandchildren; K. Cole Glover, Casie Walker, Amber Blackburn and Courtney Blackburn.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00PM Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in the Georgia National Cemetery at Canton, GA.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 9:30 am until service at 11:00 am.
