Ronnie Evans Brantley

Mrs. Ronnie Evans Brantley, age 87, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Mrs. Brantley was born on January 18, 1939, in Dodge County. She was a resident of Oconee, Georgia and was a member of Antioch Christian Church. She was happily married to her best friend for 72 years. Together they enjoyed many years camping in their favorite place, the North Georgia mountains as well as hiking, dancing, listening to music, and working in their yard, once even earning the coveted “Beauty Spot Award”, for which she was incredibly proud. She was an expert seamstress, a fantastic cook, and she prided herself in keeping an immaculate home for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earman and Daisy Payton Evans as well as her sister, Diane Braswell of Alamo, Ga.

She is survived by her husband, Howard O. Brantley of Oconee; son, Darrell Brantley and his wife Sara of Milledgeville; 2 daughters, Kathy A. Brantley of Tennille and Shannon Godfrey and her husband Noel of Oconee; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; her sister Helen Lawerence of Glenwood, Ga; many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time.
