Roy Rathbone

Roy Rathbone passed away at his home on October 5th after a long battle with his health. A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee county, He enjoyed cars, baseball and the bible. He was a deacon of Trout Cove Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his mother Thelma Pendergrass, Father Estus Rathbone, a brother and a sister. He is survived by his wife Janice Rathbone, daughter Kimberly Wolfe and Husband Jason Wolfe. Grandchildren Colby Powers and wife Casey, Maegan Rathbone and partner Jason, Spring Rathbone, Whitney Wolfe, Aj Wolfe and Heaven Wolfe.

He is also survived by sisters Marlene and Martha, Marlene's husband Malcome, a brother, Vincent and niece Missy Vernon and her family.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Trout Cove Baptist Church in Murphy, NC 28906.
