Ruby Woody

Mrs. Ruby Woody Johnson, age 87, of Lawrenceville, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 04, 2009. Mrs. Johnson was born in Fannin County on July 20, 1922 to the late Dallas M. and Mary Hood Woody. She was the second of eight children. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie R. Johnson; brothers, John & Earl Woody; sisters, Geraldine Smith & Wilda Lunsford; and granddaughter, Pamela H. Carter.

Survivors include: daughter, Joyce J. Harper, daughter, Betty J. Bales; daughter & son-in-law, Peggy & Jimmy Willis; sisters, Louise Wilson & Ruth Champion; brother & sister-in-law, Bobby & Bea Woody; grandchildren, Veronica Andrada (Edison), Brian Willis, Kimberly Wright (Chip), Laura Bales, Ethon Harper (Carla) and Nataile Harper; great grandchildren: Justin Fowler (Lauren), Heather Szczepanowski (John), Taylor Thaxton, Victor Andrada, Amber Andrada & Evan Harper, great-great-grandchildren: Aviana & Noah Fowler; and several neices & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 08, 2009 at 11:00am at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home. Pastor Rick Camperson will be officiating. Interment will follow in Stockhill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 07, 2009 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home.
