Rufus Allen Beaver

Mr. Allen Beaver, age 80, of Smyrna, Georgia, passed away Monday, January 29, 2007, at Care Stone Assisted Living in Marietta, Georgia. Mr. Beaver was born Wednesday, March 24, 1926 in Fannin County, Georgia to the late Rufus Beaver and the late Etta Botts Beaver. Allen was a member of the First Smyrna Baptist Church, Ocoee Masonic Lodge # 201 F & A M, and the Yaarab Temple of the Shrine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Griggs Beaver.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Roger & Sandra Beaver of Marietta, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Karen & Russell Bean of Smyrna, GA; sister, Lucille Galloway of Marietta, Ga. grandsons, Ronald Beaver, Kevin Culver, and Jason Culver; great-grandson, Jacob Beaver; and great-granddaughter, Casey Beaver.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 2:00 A.M. from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Ernest German officiating. Music was provided by Claudette Early and family. Interment was in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers were: Mike Beaver, Brian Morrow, Kevin Culver, Jason Culver, Wayne Davis and Pat Sharp. Military honors were by the North Georgia Honor Guard and Masonic Rites by the Ocoee Masonic Lodge #201 F&AM.
