Ruth Colwell

Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces funeral services for Ruth Colwell,age 86, of Blairsville, who passed away Tuesday morning in Clay County Care Center in Hayesville, North Carolina.

Ruth was born in Blairsville on April 2, 1929, a daughter of the late Ketron and the late Mattie Burns Colwell. She was a lifelong resident of Blairsville, and a member of Faith Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Colwell, and four nieces. Many friends also survive.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, January 8, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., to be held at Faith Baptist Church in Blairsville. Burial will be in Ivy Log Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville on Thursday evening, January 7, 2016, between the hours of 5 until 9 p.m.
