Sharon Arp

Sharon Todd Arp, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on March 11, 1950, in McCaysville, Georgia, to the late Hertis and Juanita Brown Todd.

Sharon is survived by her husband and love of her life; Sid Arp; sons: Chad (Maria) Davis, Jeremy (Micah) Davis, Jason Davis, John (Erin) Arp, and Blake (Betsy) Arp; daughter, Amanda (Larry) Cross; grandchildren, Racquel Davis, Kennedy Davis, Kaden Davis, Rori Davis, Everleigh Davis, Elaina Davis, Austin Arp, Brenna (Todd) Chadwick, Peyton Arp, and Brogan Sehl. She is also survived by her sisters, Lucretia (David) Falls and Debbie Satterfield, as well as her nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Johnny Satterfield.

She loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Sharon's kind-hearted nature and infectious smile endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand, putting others before herself. A lover of gospel music, she found joy at the piano, sharing her gift of song with family and friends.

Known for her delightful chicken and dumplings and signature chocolate cake, she took great pleasure in cooking and baking, often inspired by her favorite cooking shows.

Sharon was a dedicated member of her community and an Assistant Administrator at Pruitt Hospice, where her compassionate spirit shone through her work. Sharon was known for her kindness and was always willing to make it work to help others.

A funeral service will be held on August 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home, McCaysville Chapel, with Rev. Paul Ray Adams officiating. The following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Chad Davis, Jeremy Davis, Jason Davis, John Arp, Blake Arp, Anthony Falls, and Kaden Davis.

Family will recieve friends on Thursday evening, August 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home, McCaysville Chapel.
