Shirley Ann Keller Gaddis, 86, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on October 3, 2025, in Clinton, Tennessee.
She was born on February 25, 1939, in Maynardville, Tennessee, to parents William Keller and Monnie Buck (Step-father, Rev. John Buck).
Shirley graduated from West High School in Knoxville, TN, in 1957. She went on to become a dedicated Physical Therapy Technician, retiring from Parkwest Hospital after 26 years of compassionate service. A woman of deep faith, Shirley joyfully taught Sunday School for many years, was known as a devoted prayer warrior, and committed her life to Christ. She also proudly served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for about five years.
She cherished raising her beloved family and found joy in boating, camping, traveling, and working on word search and jigsaw puzzles—always insisting on placing the last piece herself. Shirley also enjoyed reading and watching the wildlife in her backyard.
Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Paul; her parents, William Keller and Monnie Buck; her stepfather, Rev. John Buck; and her brothers, James, Paul, and John.
She is survived by son, Mike Gaddis (Cindy); daughter, Paula Fox (Jay); grandchildren, David Gaddis (Jennifer), Kyle Gaddis, Jacob Gaddis (Alex), Julia Brock (James), Kevin Fox (Julie), and Chris Fox (Linnzy); great grandchildren, Rileigh Gaddis, Tyler Gaddis, Paisley Gaddis, Peyton Gaddis, Marcus Weidner, Melanie Weidner, Mya Hawk, Connor Sherrod (Bailey) Langston Fox, JR Keifer, Nico Keifer, and baby girl Brock, due in December; sister, Betty Nelson; sister-in-law, Ann Gilmore; half-sister, Janice Presnell; also, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom deeply loved their Aunt Shirley and were dearly loved by her in return.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Covenant Health Hospice for the kindness, care, and support shown to Shirley.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Click Funeral Home - Farragut Chapel (11915 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934). A service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Drew Prince from West Hills Baptist officiating.
