Steve Anthony Collins

Steve Anthony Collins, age 74, of Fannin County, passed away peacefully at his home following an extended illness.

A family grave side service will be held for Steve in Americus, Georgia.

Steve was a man who found his greatest joy in the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he spent countless hours doing what he loved most-immersed in nature. Alongside his wife, Cindy, the love of his life, Steve fulfilled a lifelong dream by retiring to Alaska, where they spent many cherished years hunting, fishing, and enjoying the beauty of the wilderness together.

A man of many talents, Steve was a skilled carpenter and gifted home builder who constructed many beautiful homes throughout his lifetime. His craftsmanship and dedication to his work left a lasting mark on all who knew his abilities. In addition to his work in construction, Steve also served faithfully as a Registered Nurse for many years, caring for others with compassion and commitment.

Above all, Steve loved his family deeply. He treasured his time with his children, grandchildren, and loved ones, and his legacy will live on through them. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of the outdoors, and his devotion to those he held dear.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Eston Collins; and mother, Enuice Collins. 

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Collins; son, Austin (Jaclyn) Collins; granddaughter, Lola Collins; daughter, Anborah Collins; daughter, Crystal (Jamie) Campbell; grandson, Daniel Gibson; granddaughter, Lexi Jeffers; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Kimbro; daughter, Melissa McIntyre; granddaughter, Addison McIntyre; grandson, Cooper McIntyre; and sister, Rhonda Collins.
