Sue Lynn Reynolds

Sue L. Reynolds, age 71, died on May 10, 2025 due to cancer. She was born on September 3, 1953 in Waterloo, Iowa to Richard Gielau and Dorla Sterner. Sue graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and she went on to teach special education for 35 years. She was married to Daniel Reynolds for 41 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tim Gielau.

Surviving in addition to her husband Daniel Reynolds are her daughter, Casey Papp and her husband John Papp; grandchildren, Andy and Micah Papp; sisters, Peggy Bernard, Julie Sky, and Melissa Gielau-Willard; brother, John Gielau. Many additional nieces and nephews also survive.

Sue will be remembered as a great teacher, mother, grandmother, wife, and best friend to all who knew her. Our light will now shine a little less bright as Sue is no longer with us.

Sue will be interred in our family's cemetery Laurel Gardens. It was her wish not to have any formal service and the family will observe here wishes.
