Thomas Barry Scholes, age 59, of McCaysville, GA, passed away July 27, 2009 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, GA. Barry was born March 28, 1950 in Polk County, TN to Alvin Lee Scholes and Marie Plemmons Scholes. He was preceded in death by father, Alvin Lee Scholes.
Survivors include: mother, Marie Scholes of McCaysville, GA, sister & brother-in-law, Sherry & Bob Welch of McCaysville, GA, and brother, Edison E. Scholes of Franklin, TN.
Memorial services will be held August 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to Fannin Christian Learning Center, 2324 East First Street, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.
The Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, GA is in charge of arrangements.
