Tommy Rogers

Tommy Rogers, 74, of Blairsville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord and his loving wife on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at his home in Blairsville, GA. Tommy was born April 3, 1949, in Union County to Talmadge and Annie Lee Rogers. Tommy was a loving Husband, Father, and Pop. Tommy was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Georgia Boot Factory after 33 years.

 Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Barbara Jean Rogers; his parents, Talmadge and Annie Lee Rogers, brothers, Gene Rogers, Baby Boy Rogers, Frank Rogers, and Jimmy Rogers; sisters, Brenda Garrett, Martha Plott, and Mary Seabolt.

 He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Smith (Jim) and Serena Dyer (Ryan); grandchildren, Britney Bennett (J.R.), Kelley Bryson (Tyler), Brandon Smith, Nathan Smith, Jasper Dyer, Wyatt Dyer; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte Bennett and Mary Grace Bryson; two sisters, Ruth (Leonard) Hedrick and Sarah (Franklin) Owenby.

 Tommy thrived on spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed watching westerns, hiking, camping, hunting, and going fishing. He enjoyed working with his hands and could repair or make almost anything.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 12:30 at New Union in Blairsville, GA.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Anthony Bohannon (honorary), Bobby Rogers (honorary), Steven Owenby, Tim Bohannon, Jody Seabolt, Dylan Tanner, Josh Owenby, JR Ballew, Stephen Ballew, David Murphy.
