Vera Lee Toth, 88, of Murphy, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Murphy Rehab and Nursing Home in Murphy, NC.

Vera Lee was born October 20, 1937, in Woodbury, NJ to Francis P. and Vera O. Barry.

Vera Lee was preceded in death by father, Francis P. Barry; mother, Vera O. Barry; husband, Robert S. Toth; sister, Patricia Mae Vasquez; brother-in-law, Santos Vasquez


She is survived by her sister Thelma Anne Negretti; brother-in-law Louis Negretti; son James A. Barry-Toth; daughter-in-law Cheryl Barry-Toth; son Micheal P. Atherly; daughter-in-law Carol Atherly; daughter Vera Lynn Barry-Toth; son Dwight Barry; daughter Lisa Careaga; son-in-law Thomas Careaga; granddaughter Alexandra Daly; granddaughter Alissa Goode; grandson Jacob Atherly; grandson James Lapham; grandson Brian Lapham; grandson Benjamin Lapham; granddaughter Alexandria Dean; granddaughter Elizabeth Careaga; grandson Timothy Callaghan; great-granddaughter Bella Daly; great-granddaughter Ella Kaufman; great-granddaughter Harmony Daly; great-granddaughter Leah Atherly; great-granddaughter Madeline Mae Atherly; great-granddaughter Caroline Dean; great-grandson Sawyer Dean; great-granddaughter Guinevere Mancuso. 

A service of remembrance will be held by the family at a later date. In leu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Murphy Rehab & Nursing 230 NC-141 Murphy, NC 28906 in care of the activities department.
