W. H. "howard" Reece

November 20, 1920 — March 5, 2010

Mr. Howard Reece, age 89, of Mc Caysville, GA, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at Peidmont Hospital in Atlanta. Mr. Reece was born in Cherokee Co., GA to the late Charles Jefferson and Bertha Cochran Reece. Howard was a U.S. Navy Veteran who servered in WWII. He was a Deacon and trustee of The First Baptist Church of McCaysville Copperhill. He was a member of the McCaysville Masonic Lodge. He retired from the Cities Service Company.

Mr. Reece was preceded in death by sister, Hattie Pruitt, sister, Ruby Hall, Brother, James Hubert Reece, sister, Frances Larkin.

Survivors include: wife, Dorothy Stanley Reece, daughter, Mary Alice Walker, son, Ronald Stephen (Janine) Reece, son, William H. "Buck" (Donna) Reece Jr., sister, Anna Bell Peterson, sister, Willa Mae Bilskis, Brother, Charles J. Reece Jr., brother, John B. "Buster" Reece, grandchildren, Brian Walker, Sarah Walker, Chad Reece, Aaron Reece, Cristy Woody, Emily Reece, Elizabeth Reece, great grandchildren, Reece Walker, Nathan Walker, C.J. Reece and Cayden Reece.

Funeral services will be held Monday March 8, 2010 at 1:00PM from the First Baptist Church McCaysville Copperhill with Rev. Scott Baugh and Rev. Harry Gilbert officiating. Music will be provided by The Prime Time Chior.

Internment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery with Military Honors provided by The North GA Honor Guard.

Pallbears will include Brian Walker, Chad Reece, Aaron Reece, Jason Woody, John Barry Reece and Randy Reece

Honorary Pallbearers will be Decons from the First Baptist Church of McCaysville Copperhill.

Family will receive friends from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Sunday March 7, 2010 from 4:00 till 6:00PM
