Mr. William C. "Bill" Odom, age 66 of Tignall, GA, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Odom was born Monday, November 4, 1940 in Union County, GA to the late Clyde Odom and the late Ruth Warren Odom. He was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church in Tignall. Mr. Odom was preceded in death by sisters, Annie Dean, Angie Lee Galloway and Wayne Odom.
Survivors include: son, Wayne Odom of Blairsville, GA, daughter, Cerelda DeHeus of Arlington, TX, son, Christopher Odom of Blairsville, GA, sisters, Muriel Cotton of Bakersfield, CA, Johnnie Frey of Cartersville, GA, Jessie Echols of Kennesaw, GA, Irene Reece of Kennesaw, GA and Jean Espisito of Port St. Lucie, FL, grandchildren, Amy Odom of Athens, GA, Melissa Clifton of Athens, GA, Kimberly DeHeus of Arlington, TX, Jessica Odom of Blairsville, GA, Chelsea Odom of Blairsville, GA and great-grandchild, Kaydee Addison McClure of Blairsville, GA.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Cates officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Essie Daniel. Interment will follow in Confidence UMC Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Mr. Odom's nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Wednesday, June 13.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
