REMEMBERING WILLIAM THOMAS MARTIN III aka "Tom" 14 Aug 1948 - 13 May 2026

William Thomas Martin III aka Tom was born 14 August 1948, in Miami, Florida, only son of William Thomas Martin Jr and Ann McDaniel Martin. He was an 8th generation Florida-born Floridian. He is survived by his wife, Patti, his daughter Emily (Jahn) Latouche, grandson Remy Latouche, and several cousins.

Tom attended Miami Christian School and graduated in 1966. He then attended Florida Bible College and graduated in 1971. He met his wife of almost 56 years (Patricia Allene Thomas) at Florida Bible College and they married in 1970. In 1972, he entered the electrical apprenticeship program and completed it in 1975, becoming a journeyman electrician and was a member of IBEW 349. In 1980, he graduated from Florida International University with a BS in Industrial Technology.

Tom and his wife spent much of their time traveling around the world. A trip to Israel in 2008 changed his focus on life. He made a total of 8 trips to Israel with lots of other locations included. He started avidly studying eschatology (the study of the end times events) and was convinced we are very close to the return of Jesus to earth to take his Church/Bride with him. It was important that as many as possible heard a simple Gospel message so they also could go to Heaven. Jesus came to earth in human form and lived a sinless life so He could die to pay the penalty for sin.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son so that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal Life."
